Become a Betta!

The Lenoir City Bettas are a Summer Only swim team that begins May 26, 2026 and concludes its season at the end of July.  We are always looking to add new members to our family-focused team! Ages 5 - 18 are welcome!!!

To be a Betta you must meet the following requirements:

*  Be developmentally capable of following instructions.

*  Be able to swim at least 25 yards (1 length of the pool) unassisted.

*  Be willing to learn all four strokes - Freestyle, Breast, Butterfly and Back.

*  Be motivated to have fun, make friends and work to become a better swimmer!!!

PRACTICE SCHEDULE 

The Bettas practice 5 days a week with early morning practices Monday-Friday. We expect our swimmers to attend at least 3-4 practice sessions per week unless other arrangements are made with our Coaching staff. (If the weather doesn't permit a safe swim environment, we do our best to reschedule our practice). 

Our 2026 practice schedule: ALL age groups to arrive 15 minutes prior to pool time to stretch and perform dry-land exercises.

11 & Up: 6:30am - 8am

10 & Under: 8am - 9am

ADDITIONAL PRACTICE TIMES:

Monday and Tuesday evenings:

All ages: 7pm - 8pm (except for swim meet days)

MEETS

The Bettas are members of League 5 in the Greater Knoxville Area Interclub Swimming Association. Typically, we participate in 4 intra-league meets a season as well as 2

other area-wide meets. All Bettas are expected to participate in as many meets as possible - Each "splash" during a meet is critical to our team's success! 

2025 REGISTRATION & FEE

$250.00 per swimmer with sibling discount available

Please note that in addition to our dues there is a $3.00 per per swimmer non-refundable registration fee. We do offer a sibling family discount!

Online Registration will open April 1st, 2026! If you are new to our team, we do ask that you reach out to us first, [email protected]. We'd love info about your swimmer and your expectations for the season. Tryouts may be necessary as well. 

Payment can be made as cash or check at the parent meeting, May 5th, 2026, Payment plans are available, just let us know what works best for you. All swimmer paperwork MUST be received before your swimmer can enter the water, per GKAISA rules.
