Lenoir City Bettas Swim Team

Originally established in the early 1990s, as the Tellico Village Swim Team and now will continue the rich winning tradition as the Lenoir City Bettas Swim Team, the team is proud to be a gathering place for kids of all ages and swimming abilities. The organization was chartered with the State of Tennessee as a Non-Profit Organization in 2010 and is a qualified 501(c)(3) Public Charity. Our mission is to provide an opportunity for competitive swimming training to children, thereby fostering self-confidence, self-discipline, endurance and good sportsmanship.

We believe that our strengths include enthusiastic, talented, hardworking coaches and parents who work together to provide a positive experience for each and every swimmer. However, the foundation and core strength of our team is OUR SWIMMERS!

The Bettas are members of the Greater Knoxville Area Swimming Association (GKAISA) which consists of about 35 teams from Knoxville area neighborhoods, swim clubs and country clubs. Teams range in size from about 30 swimmers to as many as 300 and are divided into 6 Leagues, largely according to membership numbers. For the 2026 season LCST will compete in League 5. A key to a smooth swim season is open communication between coaches, swimmers, family and the team board. To help with that process, we encourage you to familiarize yourselves with the material presented on the Bettas website. The website and its associated email are our main sources of communication. We will do our best to keep information about practices, meets, and team functions as up to date as possible.

No swim team can be successful without the involvement of our parent volunteers. We absolutely count on every family to help out in some way. With the variety of volunteer opportunities, it won’t be difficult for your family to find an enjoyable way to contribute to our success!

Again, a big welcome to all new and returning swimmers to the Lenoir City Bettas Swim Team! We are excited about the upcoming season and joining with each and every one of our Betta families to make possible a summer full of fun for our swimmers.  We hope you are as excited about the upcoming swim season as are the members of team management.
