Good Afternoon Bettas! 

      First off, thank you for your patience and understanding regarding the situation of last night's meet. It is never easy to end a meet early for various reasons, but the biggest is seeing the disappointment on swimmer's faces. I can promise you that these happen very rarely and always within the best interest of the team. From Nathan, Morgan, and I we appreciate your how you and your kids have handled 2 difficult meets. It'll hopefully get easier from here. 

     Secondly, you hopefully saw an email from Mel regarding volunteer positions for next week's meet against USC. Entries for swimmers are now open as well! Please register your swimmer for this meet ASAP (p.s. all other meets for the season are now open for athlete entry). The sooner your child is registered, the better we can place them within the lineup. 

     Finally, registration for SMI is now OPEN!! For our new bettas, the Smokey Mountain Invitation is the largest outdoor swim meet in the southeast and is an annual tradition that has been going on since the 1970s. It is a great opportunity to swim against multiple teams and see the spread of competition that can be expected for City Meet. Swimmers always enjoy SMI and it really it a great opportunity to get the experience of the big meet. SMI will be taking place July 8th (11&up) and July 9th (10& unders) and we have to have our RSVP in by June 23rd (NEXT FRIDAY!!). If you know that your swimmer WILL or WILL NOT be swimming this meet, please go in and mark them accordingly ASAP so that we can get an accurate team size for the tent reservations.
