Start: 6:00 PM Warm-up: 5:15 PM End: 9:30 PM (estimated) The Bettas will travel to the Benington Farrington pool to swim against the B-F Barracudas located at 8817 Colchester Ridge Rd, Knoxville, TN. We ask that all swimmers be on deck for warm-ups by 5:15pm, more info on where to set up/parking will be provided as soon as we hear from the Barracudas :) Remember, this night is NEON night, so come wearing your most brightly colored clothing! Snacks, water, chairs & sunscreen are a must as well. If you know that your swimmer cannot attend, please be sure to update us here and let Coach Nathan/Coach Hannah know at least a week ahead. Thu Jun 9 2022	LCST @ WSY West Side YMCA - 400 Winston Rd, Knoxville, TN Start: 6:00 PM Warm-up: 5:15 PM End: 9:30 PM (estimated) The Bettas will travel to the Westside YMCA to swim our first meet against the Westside Marlins. We need you on deck NO LATER than 5:15pm. More info (parking, where our team can set up, etc) is listed below. We ask that if your Betta cannot make this meet, to please let Coach Nathan or Coach Hannah know the week prior. Don't forget, this night is a Farm/Western theme, so wear your best costume/cowboy hat! Snacks, water, chairs & sunscreen are a must as well. Thank you and GO BETTAS! Facility Details: Our pool is located at 400 Winston Rd, Knoxville, TN 37909. It's a 10 lane (8 competition lanes) pool. Concessions : Our team will be selling concessions. We will have items such as pizza, candy bars, soft drinks, and fruit. We accept payment by cash only. Spectator Seating : We have limited spectator seating inside the fence. While the facility does provide some chairs, there are not enough for everyone. All seating is bring your own (chair, blanket, etc.). We have a great hill on the South side of the pool that will allow for any number of parents to sit and observe the meet from outside the fence. Parking : We have reasonably sufficient parking at our facility. The parking lot "down the hill" from the pool is the closest parking. There is also overflow parking in the Church parking lot across the street from the entrance (off Winston Rd).
Mon May 30 2022	Practice Starts! All age Groups! LC Pool - 120 Panther Drive, Lenoir City Start: 7:00 AM End: 9:30 AM First day of practice! Starting at 7 AM will be the older kids (11+) practice and they will conclude around 8:30 in the morning. Youngers (10&under) will go from 8:30 to 9:30. Practice will be more relaxed and more of a run-through than a hard push. We prefer everyone to still come as this will be a good time to introduce yourself to your teammates and get a feeling of how our season will go!
Thu May 26 2022	Parent Meeting & Suit Swap Roane State/Library Conference Room, 100 W Broadway/B St Start: 5:30 PM End: 7:00 PM (estimated) Calling all Betta parents! Due to predicted storms on Thursday afternoon, we've changed the meeting place for the Parent meeting. Instead of the LC Pool, we will be meeting in the Roane State conference room (directly next to the LC Library, on the other side of the Broadway entrance). You can park across the street (college parking lot) or the library parking lot. We'll try to put a sign out for you to follow. (FYI, the building entrance on Broadway will NOT be open, we do need you to come around to the other side) Come on out to see your Coaches and get info about the upcoming summer swim season! Great time to turn in/fill out your paperwork, talk about scheduling/expectations and pay for your personalized caps/extra shirts. (Cash or checks only) We are also encouraging parents to bring any swimsuits that are too small for their Bettas and maybe let another Betta get some use from them. Practice suits or competition suits are fine, if they are still in good shape, bring them and maybe someone else will have a suit for your swimmer! Win-win! Wed May 25 2022	New Betta Tryouts! LC Pool - 120 Panther Drive, Lenoir City Start: 4:00 PM End: 5:30 PM Tryouts for NEW Bettas will be May 25th & 26th, 4-5:30pm. If your swimmer has never competed on a swim team previously, we do ask that they try out. This is NOT to judge or incur stress in your swimmer! Our coaches just need to assess their ability to make sure they have a level of confidence in the water. We ask that they be able to swim the length of 25 yards; doesn't matter how ugly Just make it across! Please have them dressed in their most comfortable swimsuit :) Spaces are filling up, so please email [email protected] to schedule your swimmer's tryout! See you on deck!
Sun Oct 3 2021	Melton Hill Dam Triathlon Fundraiser Melton Hill Dam - 13555 Hwy 32 N Lenoir City, TN US 37771 Start: 8:30 AM End: 4:30 PM (estimated) Day 2, Sunday, October 3rd, 8:30am-4:30pm (lunch is provided by the Bettas) We'll be split up along the race course (if it's like last year, there will be 4 different spots). Manning the tables, pour water/Gatorade, picking up stray cups, cheering on the runners, hanging out with your pals! 10 & Overs, only. Parents, you are welcome to stay and assist! Bring your camp chairs and blankets (and maybe a book, for the lull) and snacks/water. I'll be keeping an eye on the weather, but make sure to bring an umbrella if needed :) Older Bettas, don't forget, if you are needing community service hours, this is a great way to knock 'em out! Just bring your sheet for Mel to sign before you leave. And, for ALL Bettas, if you attend BOTH days, you'll be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card (to anywhere you'd like!). Come on out, help your team and have some fun :)
Sat Oct 2 2021	Melton Hill Dam Triathlon Fundraiser Melton Hill Dam - 13555 Hwy 32 N Lenoir City, TN US 37771 Start: 6:45 AM End: 1:00 PM (estimated) (For our 10 & Over Bettas, only). Day 1, Saturday, October 2nd, 6:45am-1pm: Man the tables, pour water and Gatorade, pick up stray cups, cheer on the runners, hang out with your friends :) Please bring your own snacks and water. In case of crummy weather, be sure to dress appropriately! Also, be sure to bring your own camp chair/blanket to sit on :) More details to come in regards to meet up spot, etc. Parents, you are WELCOME to join! For our older Bettas, this is a great way to get some community service hours in (please bring your sheet for Mel to sign for you). Don't forget, if you participate BOTH days, you'll be entered into a drawing to win a $25 gift card of your choice :) We'll have two to give away!

We will have awards & a slideshow, you don't want to miss it! If you are wanting to acknowledge our wonderful coaches with a card/giftcard, you surely can! We will have a basket at the front to drop it off, or you can give it to them at the end of the evening :)

Thu Jul 22 2021	Bettas @Cherokee Country Club Cherokee Country Club - 5138 Lyons View Pike, Knoxville, TN 37939 Start: 6:00 PM Warm-up: 5:30 PM End: 10:00 PM (estimated) The Bettas will travel to the Cherokee Country Club to swim our last regular season meet against the Cherokee Tomahawks. We need you on deck NO LATER than 5:00pm. Details From Cherokee: Parking: There is plenty of parking around the pool area. There will be overflow parking near the tennis and golf areas. If needed there is parking across the street at the main clubhouse. There is a tunnel that runs under the street for easy access back to the swimming pool. There are two pools at our facility. The upper pool will be closed during the meet. There will be a lifeguard at the pool to keep the children out of the water. Seating: All spectator seating will be around the upper pool. We will have a 20x10 tent set up for the team. It will be at the far side of the upper pool, closest to the tennis courts. This will allow easy access to the clerk of course for the swimmers. There are pool chairs for families and participants to sit. The lower pool, where the race will take place, is standing room only as there isn’t enough room for chairs and volunteers to move about the pool area. No outside tents are permitted. Concessions: We will have a concession stand open during the meet. We will offer a full dinner buffet ( hamburgers, trimmings, salad bar, chicken tenders, waffle fries, pasta salad, fruit, drinks and dessert) Adults $10 and Children $6. The concession stand will be cash only. No large coolers please. Because this is a bit farther away for some of us (Bearden area), you might want to leave a few minutes early, as you will likely be hitting evening traffic at that time. GO BETTAS!
